November 5 -- Famous Dave's of America Inc. named Jeffrey Abramson as vice president of Procurement and Logistics, effective November 5, 2008. Famous Dave's develops, owns, operates and franchises barbeque restaurants.

Jeffrey Abramson comes to Famous Dave's with nearly 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, including extensive experience in purchasing, supply chain management and contract negotiations. Abramson began his career in foodservice operations with United Airlines in 1990, before serving as a purchasing agent for United Airlines world headquarters from 1995 to 1999. After spending a year as director of purchasing for the Rainforest Cafe chain, Abramson joined BUCA Inc., a Minneapolis-based casual dining concept, in 2001. Abramson spent the last seven-plus years at BUCA, where he rose to the rank of vice president of Purchasing.
