August 3/M&A Navigator -- Swiss food group Nestle closed the purchase of U.K. clinical nutrition specialist Vitaflo for an undisclosed amount to break into the fast-growing clinical nutrition products sector.

Vitaflo makes products for infants, children and adults with genetic metabolic disorders.

The company generates revenues per year of some $39 million, with annual growth rates of around 30% over the past three years, Nestle said.
