Saputo Names Senior Management
Sbarba has been with the company since 1990 and has served as president and chief operating officer, Cheese Division (Canada); president and chief operating officer, Cheese Division (USA) and, since 2006, has been acting as president and chief operating officer, Dairy Products Division (Canada) and by interim (Europe & Argentina).
Lorenzo Spinelli will be named president and chief operating officer, Dairy Products Division (Canada). Spinelli joined the company in 1998. He has served as vice president, Engineering & Environmental Affairs (Canada & USA); senior vice president Operations (Canada) and, since 2009, has been acting as senior vice president and general director, Dairy Products Divisions (Europe & Argentina). In his new role, Spinelli will be reporting to Sbarba.
The company also welcome Kai Bockmann in the position of president and chief operating officer, Dairy Products Division (International); formerly known as the Dairy Products Divisions (Europe & Argentina). Bockmann holds over 15 years of international experience within the food industry. He has held several senior management positions in production, sales and marketing and has worked in Canada, the U.S., China, India, as well as in Latin America. Bockmann will be reporting to Sbarba.
Terry Brockman, president and chief operating officer, Dairy Products Division (USA) and Lionel Ettedgui, president and chief operating officer, Bakery Division will both report to Sbarba.
Gaetane Wagner, executive vice president, Human Resources, and Louis-Philippe Carriere, executive vice-president, Finance and Administration will continue to report to Lino A. Saputo, Jr.
All nominations will be effective April 1, 2012, with the exception of Bockmann, who will be joining the company as of January 9, 2012.
