September 19/Orrville, Ohio -- The J.M. Smucker Co. has expanded its Uncrustables line of frozen foods with the introduction of three new varieties: peanut butter and raspberry spread sandwich on whole wheat bread; reduced-sugar peanut butter and strawberry spread sandwich on whole wheat bread; and reduced-sugar peanut butter and grape spread sandwich on whole wheat bread.

The reduced-sugar versions of the strawberry and grape Uncrustables contain 6g of sugar, 190 calories and 170mg of sodium per serving. By comparison, the “regular” versions of the same flavors contain 9g of sugar, 210 calories and 240mg of sodium per serving. The reduced-sugar Uncrustables contain no high-fructose corn syrup, while the regular Uncrustables do, according to product information listed on the Smucker web site.

Additionally, all three of the new varieties contain 3g of dietary fiber per serving, which compares with 2g of dietary fiber per serving in non-whole wheat Uncrustables.
