Natural colors supplier Food Ingredient Solutions, LLC, Teterboro, NJ, said it purchased a 12,000-square-foot production facility in Marshfield, Mo. Officials say the operation sits on a five-acre parcel of land and they expect to begin operations by the third quarter of 2014.

“This new facility will provide increased production capacity and redundancy, and allow the company to continue to move upstream in aqueous and solvent extraction of natural colors and related activities,” officials said.

Food Ingredient Solutions LLC manufactures a complete range of natural colors and natural color preparations for the food, drug and cosmetics industries. Its subsidiary, Food Ingredient Solutions Ltd, is based in the United Kingdom and handles European distribution. Food Ingredient Solutions also provides application assistance such as formulation recommendations, light stability testing, heat stability testing and color matching.
