The first thing you probably reach for to start your day is a hot cup of coffee. It's a safe bet, considering 83 percent of Americans drink coffee, and coffee drinkers enjoy an average of three cups per day. That's 587 million cups of coffee consumed daily in the United States.

Knoxville, Tennessee-based Pilot Flying J contributes its fair share to the country's coffee industry – selling more than 130,000 cups per day of what has been dubbed the "Best Coffee on the Interstate."

Building upon its successful coffee offerings, Pilot Flying J is entering a new market with the introduction of take-home bags and single-serve packs of its best-selling Pilot House coffee blend. As of Nov. 1, these take-home options are available in all Pilot Travel Centers and Flying J Travel Plazas nationwide. The price is $5.99 for either a 10-ounce bag or eight-pack of single-serve coffee cups, which are compatible with most Keurig machines. "For decades, our company has been focused on fueling America in the literal sense of providing gasoline and diesel fuel," Pilot Flying J CEO Jimmy Haslam said. "Now we also take great pride in fueling America in a different sense: with great coffee.

"Our customers are hard-working professional drivers, commuters and busy families. Our coffee selection offers quality and convenience on the road – and now at home, too." The home-brewing options complement several other coffee initiatives for the company, including adding its first single-origin blend – Brazilian Blend coffee – to its year-round offerings. This fall, Pilot Flying J unveiled new company logos and branding, and the updated look includes its coffee cups.
