Southeastern Mills, Inc. announced the promotion of Peter W. Hjort, Jr. to the position of Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. This promotion recognizes Hjort’s significant contributions to the company’s growth and enables him to lead many of the company’s critical strategic initiatives.
As Chief Operating Officer, Hjort will have responsibility for the Company’s Finance, Information Systems, Manufacturing, Pricing and Supply Chain functions.
Hjort will continue to serve as Chief Financial Officer for G&L Holdings, Inc., which is the parent company of Southeastern Mills, Inc.
Hjort joined Southeastern Mills in 1998 and has served in multiple leadership roles, including Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Secretary and Treasurer. Hjort began his career with Flowers Foods in 1981 where he had increasing roles of responsibility in Accounting and Finance. Hjort is a graduate of the University of Georgia, with a degree in Accounting.
