August 6/Vilnius, Lithuania/Baltic News Service -- Global food giant Kraft Foods has signed an agreement to sell its Nordic and Baltic sour snacks business to FEPCO 1 AS, a company controlled by Norway's private investment fund Herkules. Kraft Foods would transfer the sour snack brands Estrella and Maarud in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, as well as Taffel chips brand in Denmark, the company said in a statement.
The sale also includes the assets and manufacturing facilities in Norway, Sweden and Lithuania. Financial terms have not been disclosed. The deal needs the approval of respective regulatory autorities, which is expected to be obtained by the end of the year.
