Bunge North America, the North American operating arm of Bunge Limited, named Richard Goodman senior vice president and general manager of Bunge Oils. Goodman replaces Thad Jones, who previously announced his decision to leave the company.
"Dick's experience in marketing and agribusiness will be valuable to Bunge Oils as we continue to develop this new food oils operation," said Carl Hausmann, president and CEO, Bunge North America. "Already a market leader in providing shortenings and oils to food processors and the foodservice industry, Dick will help us get positioned to better serve our customers' needs."
Prior to joining Bunge, Goodman held various senior management positions with Monsanto Company, most recently as president of the Animal Agricultural Group. Before that, he worked for Ralston Purina Company in the branded cereal foods and pet foods divisions.
Goodman received his bachelor's degree in Economics and Statistics from Kalamazoo College in Mich. and later earned a master's in Marketing from Indiana University.
