January 24/Prism Insight -- Unilever U.S. is stepping up its efforts in multicultural and shopper marketing with a new position.

The company has named Lisa Klauser as vice president of the consumer and customer solutions organization, a new post.

In her new role, Klauser will lead integrated and multicultural marketing, visual branding, PR, category manager, shopper marketing and consumer marketing insight for the company. Previously, sheworked as vice president, brand building and multicultural marketing excellence for Unilever.

In other news, Unilever named Amanda Sourry as senior vice president and general manager of its newly formed U.S. food business team. The firm is creating a single foods division, which brings together its meal solutions, new vitality portfolio and its spreads, dressings and beverages group. The team will manage all of Unilever's foods businesses in the U.S., except for the ice cream business.

Previously, Sourry was vice president and general manager of meal solutions and new vitality for Unilever.
