While LifeAID’s new beverage is focusing on one very specific target audience, one of the beverage category’s biggest successes of recent years is expanding its focus beyond beverages entirely. Pom Wonderful LLC, whose antioxidant-rich pomegranate juice saw sales skyrocket to nearly $100 million annually in the mid-2000s, has added its brand of ready-to-eat ruby red arils from California-grown pomegranates. The so-called “Pom Poms” are available in two package sizes: 4.3oz (with its own spoon for individual snacking) and 8oz for recipes or multiple servings.
