October 8/Jackson, Mich. -- Now fans of the Cake Boss can bake like the Boss himself, Buddy Valastro, in their own kitchen. The cake boss, himself, has teamed with Dawn Foods to launch cake mixes and frostings now available at retailers across the country.
A fourth generation baker and star of TLC's TV series Cake Boss, Next Great Baker and Bakery Boss, premiering in December, Valastro shared his knowledge, expertise and love for baking as he developed his line of Cake Boss cake mixes and frostings. To deliver the taste of Carlo's bakery, Cake Boss cake mixes and frostings are crafted in partnership with Dawn Foods, who has been supplying the bakery with ingredients for decades.
"Not everyone has the time to whip up a Cake Boss approved dessert from scratch," said Valastro. "I want to arm home bakers and baking novices alike with the supplies to produce a mouthwatering cake, and my new mixes and frostings provide that bakery quality taste."
CAKE BOSS Cake Mixes
When it comes to a great tasting cake, it starts with the right ingredients. Each cake mix comes with a pouch of bakery creme, Valastro's secret to making velvety moist cakes. The cake mixes are available in six flavors:
VA VA VELVET – red velvet cake.
IT'S YOUR PARTY – confetti cake.
DECADENT DEVIL'S FOOD – devil's food cake.
CHOCOLATE TRIFECTA – triple chocolate cake made with chocolate liquor.
PRIMO YELLOW – a simple yellow cake.
DIVINE WHITE – a white cake.
CAKE BOSS Frostings
To pair with the cake mixes, the Cake Boss brand has also added a range of four frosting flavors, each with zero trans-fat:
WHOLE LOTTA CHOCOLATE – made with chocolate liquor and two kinds of chocolate.
VIVA VANILLA.
MEGA MILK CHOCOLATE – A milk-chocolaty frosting with chocolate liquor.
CREME DE LA CREAM CHEESE – A sweet frosting with cream cheese.
