October 10/Carlstadt, N.J./Press Release --  Citromax has hired Andy Blum, a 31-year veteran of the flavor and fragrance and essential oils industry, as its new vice president of Development, according to an announcement by company president Vivian Glueck. 

According to Glueck, “Citromax is the only company in the flavor and fragrance industry to own its own fruit processing, and we have brought in Andy who has extensive expertise in essential oils and citrus flavors to help us produce flavor components and beverage bases that can be used to provide superior offerings to our consumer goods customers.”

She further stated, “We also would like to expand on our strength in organic lemon (essential oils and juice concentrates), as we are one of the world’s largest organic lemon processors, by launching a complete product stream for organic lemon products. We feel that Andy will be a tremendous asset to help us reach these goals.”

Blum was employed by Phoenix Aromas and Essential oils as vice president of Product development for four years, creating essential oils products to solve specific needs of its flavor/fragrance and consumer goods customers and overseeing its technical team. Prior to that, he spent eight-plus years with Symrise as its gobal director of Citrus Business Development. He also worked at Polarome Mfg. Company for 14 years in various product development and technical roles.

He has a BS in Chemistry from Wagner College and an MBA in Management of Technology and Strategic Planning from Rutgers Business School.
