Deep River Snacks recently launched a line of natural flavored tortilla chips in Nacho Cheese and Peach Habanero varieties, and a new, limited edition Ninja Ginger kettle cooked potato chip.
“Flavored tortillas are a multi-billion dollar industry and there is no natural alternative that offers the same bold flavor and taste without all of the junk,” says Jim Goldberg, the company’s founder and CEO. “Our research shows that 52% of Doritos buyers would switch to a natural alternative if it was available, and we’re seeing that statistic come to life as the product hits the market.”
The company also unveiled a limited edition Ninja Ginger variety of its iconic kettle cooked potato chips at the Expo. This new, on-trend flavor gives taste buds a kick with the company’s signature, thick cut kettle chips dressed in a sweet, savory and slightly spicy combination of ginger, chili pepper and cilantro. Like all Deep River Snacks products, the Ninja Ginger packaging will help promote a non-profit organization. SAVE JON, a group pioneering new ways to develop a cure for Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, is featured on the bag.
“At Deep River Snacks, we say ‘We Give A Chip’ – we give a chip about great flavors, we give a chip about supporting amazing non-profits. SAVE JON is an incredible organization and I hope that we can encourage others to join us in supporting their important work to build a cure for PSC, a cause very close to my heart” comments Jim Goldberg. Goldberg has a son who is living with PSC.
"This new partnership with Deep River Snacks is a game changer for curing rare diseases," said Lisa Boyette, MD, PhD, Founder of SAVE JON, Inc. "It pairs a company that has demonstrated ultimate commitment to charity – because of a personal connection – with an organization that focuses solely on building cures for patients.”
All Deep River Snacks products are Certified Gluten Free, made from Non-GMO ingredients and contain no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. The line is also Nut Free and Kosher certified.
