Food and beverage companies of all sizes have made important additions to leadership and management in recent months. Below is a short list of notable executive appointments.
Boulder Botanical & Bioscience Laboratory Names Vic Nastasia Executive VP of Sales
Pioneering cannabinoid company Boulder Botanical & Bioscience Laboratory continues its ambitious growth trajectory with the appointment of Vic Nastasia as Executive Vice President of Sales. At Boulder Botanical & Bioscience Laboratory, Mr. Nastasia oversees the entire sales operation, establishing sales targets to meet the company objectives and is responsible for creating strategies for the company’s wide range of ingredients, products and services.
John Galloway Appointed GODIVA's Chief Marketing & Innovation Officer
GODIVA Chocolatier appointed John Galloway as its Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer. Galloway will be responsible for leading the brand's Global Marketing and Innovation team and joins the business' Global Executive Committee.
Galloway joins GODIVA with nearly 30 years of marketing and leadership experience. He started his career with world class marketing agencies, including Young & Rubicam and TracyLocke.
Miller Baking Company Names New CEO
Miller Baking Company, makers of Pretzilla® Soft Pretzel Bread, named Marc Essenfeld as CEO. Essenfeld will lead the business under owner Brain Miller, who is stepping back as CEO to focus on innovation and marketing. Essenfeld most recently spent over 12 years as the CEO and co-owner of Tribeca Oven, Inc. Prior to Tribeca, Essenfeld consulted as CFO for a number of companies, including Bear Naked Granola and Damascus Bakeries.
Alter Eco Appoints Industry Veteran Mike Forbes as New CEO
Alter Eco®, a chocolate-centric, sustainability-directed snack company and pioneer of enlightened indulgence, announced the company’s Board of Directors appointed Mike Forbes as Chief Executive Officer. He will assume day-to-day leadership of the company and will join Alter Eco’s Board of Directors. A 12-year veteran in the natural products industry and core member of One Step Closer to an Organic Sustainable Community (OSC²), Forbes was tapped for his expertise and leadership in scaling CPG businesses while maintaining a brand’s core mission and values.
General Mills Elects Diane L. Neal to Board of Directors
General Mills announced the election of Diane L. Neal to its board of directors effective November 5, 2018.
Neal was most recently Chief Executive Officer of Sur La Table, Inc., a premium-quality kitchen-goods retail company with more than 100 stores, until her retirement in 2017. Before her time with Sur La Table, Neal served with L Brands, Inc. where she was Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Bath & Body Works, and has previously held leadership roles at Gap Inc. and Target Corporation.
Michael Morse Named Chief Executive Officer of Louisiana Fish Fry
Louisiana Fish Fry Products, Ltd., a manufacturer and supplier of branded, Louisiana-inspired food products, announced that Michael Morse has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Brad Burkett has also been promoted to Chief Operating Officer.
Morse joins Louisiana Fish Fry with over two decades of experience across branded food and consumer industries, most recently as Vice President of Operations and Marketing at Reily Foods Company. Before joining Reily, Morse spent nine years at McCormick & Company, including four years as General Manager of its Zatarain's division.

MonarchFx, a business unit of Tompkins International, appointed Matthew Sinn, Vice President of our food and beverage sector. Sinn brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to MonarchFx after leading channel and logistics strategies for major brands. Few industries are experiencing more disruption than grocer’s and food producers. Sinn’s core focus will be helping companies realize the benefits of direct to consumer, leveraging the MonarchFx ecosystem to help companies build customer-centric fulfillment systems.
Peapod Names Selma Postma as New President
Peapod announced that Selma Postma, who most recently served as general manager of Albert Heijn Online, has been appointed to the role of President, Peapod, effective Jan. 1, 2019.
Postma joins Peapod after a distinguished career of nearly 20 years at Albert Heijn, Ahold Delhaize's largest grocery retailer in the Netherlands. Since 2014, she was General Manager of Albert Heijn Online, where she led the transformation of Albert Heijn into an omnichannel retailer.
