Bubbies Ice Cream placed sustainability and indulgence centerstage at Natural Products Expo West 2025 with the launch of its new certified home-compostable paper pulp trays and two new mochi ice cream flavors: Dragon Fruit Lemonade and Raspberry Cheesecake.
As part of its ongoing commitment to reduce plastic waste and keep paradise clean, Bubbies partnered with Earthcycle to develop the exclusive certified home-compostable inner tray for all its products. This small sustainable switch has a big impact, as it’s estimated to eliminate approximately 310 tons of plastic from entering landfills annually. After extensive testing, Bubbies created a planet-friendly solution that functions comparably to its previous plastic trays, but with 94% less plastic. The transition to the new paper pulp trays for Bubbies entire mochi ice cream portfolio has already begun, with nationwide availability expected by April.
In addition to its new sustainable packaging, Bubbies is debuting two new mochi ice creams:
- Dragon Fruit Lemonade Mochi Ice Cream: Dragon fruit ice cream specked with tart lemonade flavored candy pieces enveloped in Bubbies signature soft mochi dough. This refreshingly creamy treat is a balance of bright, zesty, and sweet.
- Raspberry Cheesecake Mochi Ice Cream: Rich raspberry cheesecake with bits of graham cracker crust wrapped in a light and pillowy mochi dough. This mini-indulgence is everything you love about raspberry cheesecake.
Both new flavors are only 90-100 calories per piece, Certified Gluten-Free, non-GMO, and are made with high quality ingredients (such as no rBST and Certified Kosher Dairy). Available nationally at Sprouts stores, each flavor has an SRP of $5.99-$6.99 per 6-pack box.
