The acquired retail and foodservice brands have national and regional distribution and include well-known names like Allens®, Veg-all®, Popeye®, Princella®, Freshlike® and Trappey's®.

Niagara Bottling, LLC has acquired the bottled water business formerly owned and operated by First Quality Water & Beverage, LLC of Lock Haven, PA. First Quality produced both private label and Pureau brand bottled water.

The Best Brands line includes bakery mixes, fillings, icings, as well as frozen bakery products.

Prior to joining CuliNex, Werblin received her Master’s degree in Food Science from Chapman University, and worked as a contractor at CuliNex.

Original Uncle Dougie's, LLC, makers of award-winning Uncle Dougie's brand products, named Rob Johnson as its CEO. Johnson joins Uncle Dougie's directly from ConAgra Foods, where he was Brand Director for ConAgra's Gourmet Food Group portfolio of natural & organic brands, including Alexia Foods, Frontera Foods, Blake's All Natural Foods & Wicked Kitchen.

AAK, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high value-adding specialty vegetable fats and oils, has added Emile Henein to its team. Henein will manage AAK’s Special Nutrition segment as business development manager and will be based out of AAK’s Edison, New Jersey office. 

Parker Products, a provider of inclusions and other specialty ingredients for the baking, dairy, beverage, confectionery, RTE and snack, and foodservice industries, is entering into a partnership with The Riverside Company. Riverside, a global private equity firm, will acquire Parker this month.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of the calendar year, subject to customary closing conditions, including the receipt of regulatory approvals.
