July 16/Minneapolis, Minn./Prepared Foods Magazine -– Bud Hayden, a director serving as interim CEO of Bioenergy, Inc., a privately held Minneapolis-based integrative life science company, announced Raj Khankari, PhD, as the company's new CEO.

Khankari joins the company from CIMA Labs Inc., a Cephalon company, where he served as general manager, CIMA Labs Inc., and vice president for Worldwide Drug Delivery Technologies. Khankari earned his initial degrees in Pharmaceutics from universities in India. Khankari also has a PhD in Pharmaceutics and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.

In addition to holding several patents, Khankari has been widely published in several peer-reviewed journals and has been a presenter at more than two dozen national and international meetings.

In making the announcement, Hayden stated, “We are very pleased to have Dr. Khankari head up our company. His scientific background, including his successful track record in working with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on new product discoveries, in conjunction with the experience he gained in holding senior management positions, will provide the leadership Bioenergy needs to take advantage of our strong intellectual property portfolio.”
