In the U.S., Diamond Foods is hoping to capitalize on the demand for more nutritious snack foods with the introduction of Emerald Baked Nut Chips in a zesty ranch flavor. Made with almonds and 15g of whole grains per serving, the chips are positioned as a healthier alternative to the standard potato chip. Nut chips are a non-traditional way to consume nuts, as well as a healthy option for those who enjoy snacking. With people looking for more nutritional value in their snacks, nuts provide a way for the healthy snack market to expand.
