Winner of one of the National Restaurant Association’s 2012 Food and Beverage Innovation Awards, new SasaPops Dessert Bars may be the nation’s first pops with dessert inclusions, such as cake chunks in decadent, real cream bases. Meanwhile, SaSa Sweets (a private, brother-sister company) says it produces more than 50 frozen dessert and fruit bars. New frozen dessert bar flavors include Pumpkin Pie, Blueberry Cheesecake and Carrot Cake. Meanwhile, SaSa Sweets’ fruit bar line—featuring only fruit, water and organic sugar—includes such varieties as Passion Fruit, Pink Guava, Watermelon, Strawberry and Lemon & Lime. pf
