August 26/Charlotte, N.C./Press Release -- Chiquita Brands International has appointed Courtney Parker as vice president of food safety and quality. In her new role, Parker will be responsible for the company’s Fresh Express packaged salad quality assurance and quality control programs. She also will serve as Chiquita’s liaison to regulatory agencies and other industry stakeholders.

Prior to joining Chiquita, Parker was head of quality assurance, food safety and regulatory affairs for Church Brothers and True Leaf Farms.

This will be Parker's second stint with Chiquita Brands International. Prior to joining Church Brothers, Parker was with Chiquita/Fresh Express for seven years as a senior food safety and microbiology manager, specializing in the development and implementation of quality policies and regulatory compliance programs.
