Chiquita Brands North America earned one of the National Restaurant Association’s 2014 Food and Beverage Innovations Awards for new Gourmet Cafe Creative Classics from Fresh Express.

Said judges: “Incorporating creative and unique ingredients into classic salad recipes, this new line of salads delivers a great-tasting, healthy and convenient menu option for operators, with 15 days of shelflife.”

Pre-packaged salad varieties include Chicken Caesar, Chopped Asian, Chopped Santa Fe, Kale Great Greens, Turkey & Bacon Chef and Tuscan. Tuscan features Genoa salami, a Tuscan cheese blend, salted pumpkin seeds, Parmesan Italian dressing and a blend of Italian lettuces.
