AAK, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high value-added specialty vegetable fats, announced the addition of Leaslie Carr to its team. Ms. Carr will assume the role of Marketing Manager, AAK USA Inc. and be based in Edison, New Jersey. 

“I am pleased to announce that as of Monday, April 27, Leaslie Carr has joined AAK in the position of Marketing Manager, AAK USA Inc. reporting to me”, said Mark Becker, Vice President of Sales & Marketing AAK USA and Canada. She will be responsible for Marketing and Business Development for AAK USA and Canada. “Ms. Carr comes to us with over 15 years of experience in marketing and product development in the food ingredient industry”, said Becker. “Her extensive experience in the food ingredient arena and intimate knowledge of the food industry will prove invaluable for AAK as we seek to expand our business into new geographies and market segments”, said Becker.

Carr joins AAK from Firmenich, where she served as Business Development Manager for the Savory Foods North America business. Prior to Firmenich, she held numerous roles at Ingredion. Carr served as Marketing Manager for the Wholesome Springboard for Ingredion’s North America business. Her main area of responsibility was to manage the company's portfolio of clean label products; this included marketing and business development, as well as strategy. She also served as Senior Associate, Savory Applications, in Ingredion's Global Applications team. In that capacity, she led new product development, applied research and key regional and global customer projects. In addition, Carr served as Project Leader in the North American Technical Service Team, where she was responsible for day-to-day technical service support and innovation delivery for key accounts and managing the Food Innovation Pilot Plant.

Carr has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Rutgers University and a master of business administration degree from Rider University. ?
