Met-Rx Substrate Technology, Inc., Bohemia, N.Y., says its new MET-Rx® Prime® protein bar is “everything you need and nothing you don't.”

This naturally sweetened, gluten-free bar is packed with protein and fiber and also contains 400mg Omega-3s from flaxseed. Officials say the new bars also are cleaner and leaner because they are free of artificial growth hormones**, soy-based protein*, sugar alcohols, colors, artificial flavors, artificial sweeteners and other ingredients.

Varieties include Chocolate Brownie, Peanut Butter Banana, Strawberries and Cream and Caramel Sea Salt. Each 2.29oz, 65g bar contains 20g Protein and 400mg of Omega-3s from flaxseed. The new Caramel Sea Salt bar contains 12g fiber and 200 calories.

MET-Rx recently began partnering with Tough Mudder, organizers of a global obstacle course series.
