Enjoy Life Foods Unveils New Look for Plentils

Plentils packaging features bright, contrasting colors and prominently displayed Certified Vegan, Certified Gluten-Free and Non-GMO Project Verified certifications

March 10, 2016

Enjoy Life Foods announced a fresh look for its allergy-friendly line of Plentils, which highlights the lentil-based chips’ crunchy, craveable flavors and premium ingredient panel that is free-from the top eight food allergens. Featuring bright, contrasting colors and prominently displayed Certified Vegan, Certified Gluten-Free and Non-GMO Project Verified certifications, the new packaging was designed to create an iconic brand block on-shelf and communicate Enjoy Life’s promise to deliver great-tasting foods that are safe for the 75 million people living with food allergies and intolerances and 25 million living with Celiac Disease or gluten intolerances across the United States. The new Plentils look will begin shipping to retailers nationwide beginning in March.

“We gave our Plentils a vibrant new look to better communicate the clean, allergy-friendly ingredients that make our lentil chips a better-for-you snack option than traditional chips,” said Joel Warady, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Enjoy Life Foods. “Our Plentils are low in calories, contain three grams of plant-based protein per serving and feature 40 percent less fat than the leading potato chip, so they’re a great snack option for ingredient-conscious individuals and families. Our new packaging perfectly conveys the line to our trusting Free-From community and consumers in a way that puts both flavor and carefully selected ingredients at the forefront.”

The new packaging features a white painted wood background that evokes the carefree environment of eating outdoors, showcasing Plentils’ convenience. The packaging also vividly displays each flavor with playful corresponding colors and an enlarged visual of the savory lentil chip, teasing the crunchy goodness inside. To elevate awareness of the product’s safe ingredients for the allergy-friendly community, the front of each bag prominently displays the line’s Free-From attributes, noting that Plentils are free-from milk, gluten, soy and nuts.

Available in Sea Salt, Dill & Sour Cream, Margherita Pizza and Garlic & Parmesan flavors, Enjoy Life Plentils are only 130 calories for a single serving of approximately 31 chips. Like all Enjoy Life products, Plentils are Certified Gluten-Free, Non-GMO Project Verified, Kosher and Halal Certified, and free-from the top eight most common food allergens, identified as wheat, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, egg, soy, fish and shellfish.
