Sara Lee® Frozen Bakery appointed Ryan Malone as chief marketing officer and Wendy Webb Williams as chief legal officer, completing the management team of the new organization which was launched in August. The new hires bring decades of food industry experience to help lead the company’s efforts to grow the iconic Sara Lee®, Van’s®, Chef Pierre® and Bistro Collection® brands following the purchase from Tyson earlier this year.
 
Malone has worked with leading food companies for more than 25 years and joins from McCain Foods USA where he most recently served as senior director of marketing. In that role he oversaw the US Potato portfolio and led the growth, launch and renovation of key category offerings. Prior to McCain, Malone held marketing roles of increasing responsibility at Kellogg Company and Kraft Foods where he worked on iconic brands like Pop-Tarts, Special K and Maxwell House. He also worked for Kronos Foods in both sales and marketing leadership roles. Malone began his career at the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Group. He holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
 
Williams most recently led the law department for the North America and Europe regions for Mead Johnson Nutrition, the maker of the Enfamil family of infant and toddler food products. There she supported the commercial, regulatory and litigation needs in the US, Canada, and six countries in Europe. Previously, she served as associate general counsel for US Foodservice, Inc., where she supported the merchandising, compliance, operational strategy, employment and government sales functions. Prior to her in-house experience she was part of the corporate services group at McGuire Woods LLP in Baltimore. After receiving her law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2001, Wendy began her legal career as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Robert M Bell, Chief Judge (ret.) on the Maryland Court of Appeals.
