Soylent Nutrition, Inc., the makers of Soylent Drinks and Powder, announced that they are expanding into the growing nutrition bar category with a new product: Soylent Squared. Soylent Squared is the first 100 calorie mini-meal bar and is engineered to be complete with 5g of plant protein, 36 essential nutrients and probiotics for digestive health. Sold in cases of 30 bars on Soylent.com, Soylent Squared is available in three flavors, including Chocolate Brownie, Salted Caramel and Citrus Berry.

The launch of Soylent Squared follows closely on the heels of the brand’s January launch of its 11 ounce drink, Soylent Bridge, the In-Between Meal. These launches demonstrate that Soylent is serious about expanding its portfolio into new formats and usage occasions.

Consumer demand for convenient and healthy on-the-go snack options continues to increase in the US, with the snack bar market expected to reach $8.8 billion by 2023. In addition, Nielsen data shows that plant-based foods sales grew 17% in the past year. Soylent Squared was designed within the same guidelines as the existing Ready-to-Drink and Powder lines: a balance of macronutrients combined with 36 essential nutrients, including 26 vitamins and minerals, 9 amino acids, 2 essential fatty acids, including omega-3 and omega-6. The company also decided to add probiotics to Soylent Squared to help consumers support their digestive health.
