Rastelli Foods Group Partners With Moving Mountains

Rastelli Foods will bring Moving Mountains Hot Dogs, Bratwurst-Style Sausages, Burgers, and Italian-Spiced Meatballs to restaurants and foodservice distributors

Rastelli Foods Group, a corporation supplying hotels, restaurants, institutions and retail markets around the world, launched its US partnership with leading British plant-based meat company, Moving Mountains Foods. Rastelli Foods will be bringing Moving Mountains® Hot Dogs, Bratwurst-Style Sausages, Burgers, and new Italian-Spiced Meatballs to restaurants and food service distributors throughout the country.

After more than three years of research and over 500 test-kitchen recipes, a team of leading scientists, chefs and farmers have produced the future of eating well -- for personal health and for the planet. Moving Mountains’ plant-powered meat requires less land, less water, and produces less greenhouse emissions than animal protein. It looks, smells, and tastes as indulgent as traditional meat, so it can be enjoyed guilt-free.

When cooked, the 100% plant-based Moving Mountains® foods sizzle, smell, and brown just like hot dogs, juicy burgers, and succulent meatballs consumers traditionally know. By using simple natural ingredients, and incredible scientific processes, Moving Mountains® replicates animal meat in every way, instead made with GMO-free vegetable bases, providing a healthy and sustainable alternative to soy-based options.

The Moving Mountains® Hot Dog is made with sunflower seeds, known for being rich in B-complex vitamins, minerals and a high source of protein, along with carrots, onions, and coconut oil (an anti-oxidant and medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs) which is easily absorbed and metabolised, providing an immediate source of energy rather than being stored as fat),  combined with a delicious naturally smoked flavor, and a satisfyingly firm yet bouncy texture, making it look and taste just like a pork hot dog.

The Moving Mountains® Sausage contains all-natural ingredients including pepper and nutmeg for an authentic flavor and aroma. The structure of the Moving Mountains® Sausage reflects the texture of a traditional Bratwurst, which is chopped and not minced, creating a firm bite. This bite is further emphasized with the hyper-realistic, plant-based skin, which has the perfect “knack” (break of the skin) when broken or bitten into.

The Moving Mountains® Burger and Sliders are created with oyster mushrooms as the base, maintaining a mouth-watering, succulent texture, with the addition of pea protein, wheat and soy proteins, oats, coconut oil, Vitamin B12, andbeetroot juice to give the look of real meat juices at the center of the patty.
Each Moving Mountains® product has zero cholesterol and is GMO-free, packed with plant protein, and, of course, suitable for vegans and flexitarians.
