Alter Eco uses high-quality milk from open pastured, grass fed cows from the alpine valleys of Switzerland. With approximately 35 cows per farm, they graze outdoors for 234 days per year (twice as long as the USDA standards) with access to the outdoors all year round and with everything they eat grown directly on the land for a low-input approach to dairy farming. Alter Eco’s commitment to clean ingredients extends from the farm to the final recipe with no corn feed, no GMOs and no refined sugars, soy ingredients or preservatives. Alter Eco’s Grass Fed Milk Chocolate bars are also USDA Certified Organic, Fair Trade Certified, Certified Gluten Free and Carbon Neutral Certified, and packaged in FSC Certified paper that is responsibly sourced to protect forests.
