A message from Western Michigan University:

We have been closely monitoring and evaluating the rapidly evolving global COVID-19 virus outbreak to ensure we are taking the necessary measures to protect the health and well-being of our WMU Food Marketing Conference attendees. After careful consideration of many factors, WMU has made the difficult but important decision to postpone the 2020 WMU Food Marketing Conference, scheduled for March 31-April 1, 2020, in Grand Rapids, Mich. WMU is committed to putting the health and safety of our conference attendees and students first and is sensitive to current corporate travel restrictions. We are doing our part to try to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We are evaluating options for rescheduling the conference and will be in contact about that soon. We will also be contacting each of our conference sponsors individually in the coming days.
The conference is the single-largest revenue stream for the WMU food and consumer package goods marketing program, allowing us to provide scholarships and experiential learning opportunities for our students.
Please call the conference hotline at (269) 387-2132 or email Conference Coordinator Lisa Youtzy lisa.youtzy@wmich.edu with any questions. Fequently Asked Questions
