FoodCALC: Nutrition Labels

FoodCalc’s Assisted Virtual Analysis guides users through the process of creating FDA-compliant nutrition labels

FoodCALC_900
June 24, 2020

Food manufacturers can quickly and easily create a nutrition label using the LabelCalc nutrition facts label maker—now with a virtual assistant. Assisted Virtual Analysis (AVA) guides users through the process of creating FDA-compliant nutrition labels. The in-app, live-learning avatar helps food manufacturers navigate FDA compliance for a budget-friendly cost. They no longer need to spend money on costly consulting services.

Food manufacturers enjoy the following benefits when they use the nutrition facts label maker equipped with AVA:

FDA-compliance assistance
Instant nutrition analysis
Latest 2020 nutrition panel formats
Error proofing
Easy recipe entry
Detailed nutrition reporting

The FDA nutrition label template gives users a starting point, and AVA provides guidance as they create nutrition labels. SKEPTIK, an error-flagging feature, works alongside AVA to alert the user when the nutrition information entered is inaccurate or a data entry error is made.

FoodCalc, the company that designed LabelCalc, now offers free account set-up. Users can import their existing nutrition data into LabelCalc from another nutrition analysis and labeling platform. All users need to do is select the plan that meets their business needs and LabelCalc will execute the data import free of charge.

“We use data about pain points to determine the unmet needs of those in the food industry. AVA arose from the traditional way of creating nutrition fact labels, which is time-consuming and vulnerable to costly errors. AVA protects food manufacturers from making these damaging mistakes and allows them to become more efficient with their time,” said Lucy Logan, Founder and CEO of FoodCALC.
