The Clorox Company Wins 2020 Dressing Of The Year 
The Association for Dressings & Sauces (ADS) awarded Oakland-based The Clorox Company as the winner of the Dressing of the Year Award for its Hidden Valley Honey Mustard Flavor Packet. The announcement was made during the ADS Technical Meeting “Face2Face” held virtually October 5-7.

“Hidden Valley Golden Honey Mustard dressing has the perfect blend of sweet, mild, savory flavors combined to creamy, tangy perfection. It’s just as delicious as it looks and tastes great over everything and anything.” said Dr. Ritu Mishra, Associate Research Fellow at The Clorox Company. 

The Dressing of the Year award is presented by ADS to recognize and celebrate truly innovative and delicious products. Nominations for the award were received earlier in the year and a judging team from the ADS membership voted via blind taste tests, based on the dressing deemed to have the best overall taste. 


The Clorox Company Wins 2020 Package Of The Year
For the fourth year in a row, The Association for Dressings & Sauces (ADS) awarded Oakland-based The Clorox Company as the winner of the Package of the Year Award for its Hidden Valley The Original Ranch Christmas Stocking. The announcement was made during the ADS Technical Meeting “Face2Face” held virtually October 5-7.

“Imagine a Christmas stocking. Now imagine a bag of wine.  Now combine the two and fill it with dressing instead.  This package introduces flexible pouches and gravity-fed dispensers to the dressing aisle with a playful, over-the-top spin on the shape and large quantity,” said Dr. Ritu Mishra, Associate Research Fellow at The Clorox Company. 

The Package of the Year Award is presented by ADS to increase the awareness of packaging and to celebrate the accomplishments of the packaging industry for dressing, sauce and condiment-related packages. Nominations for the award were received earlier in the year and ADS members cast their votes for the package deemed most innovative. 


Golden State Foods Wins 2020 Sauce Of The Year
The Association for Dressings & Sauces (ADS) awarded Irvine, Calif.-based Golden State Foods Corp. (GSF) as the winner of the Sauce of the Year Award for its Zaxby’s Caribbean Jerk Sauce. The announcement was made during the ADS 2020 Technical Meeting “Face2Face” held virtually October 5-7.

“GSF collaborated with the Zaxby’s Product Innovation team on the Caribbean Jerk Sauce for Zaxby's Caribbean Jerk Fillet Sandwich, which initially launched in January 2020 as a limited time offer and then extended longer because the promotion was so successful,” said Mitch Dingwall, Senior Director, Production Development for GSF. “As consumers enjoy pepper and spice-flavored foods, the ‘spice and heat’ trend influenced this crowd-pleasing sauce, which features just the right amount of heat and a balanced flavor profile with familiar, yet authentic, exotic, intriguing notes.”
