Highlander Partners, L.P., a middle market private equity firm based in Dallas, announced the acquisition of Hilo Nutrition, Inc. Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Hilo is an emerging and innovative player in the nutrition and wellness category.

The transaction is being led by Tim Alexander, Andy Warczak and Ryan Ghazaeri of the Harris Williams Consumer Group.

The acquisition deepens Sovos Brands' role in the breakfast and snacking categories and represents a significant step in the company's mission to acquire and build one-of-a-kind brands that bring consumers delicious food for joyful living.

​​​​​​Parker Products, a provider of inclusions and other specialty ingredients for the baking, dairy, beverage, confectionery, RTE and snack, and foodservice industries, today announced that cookie manufacturer Creative Food Ingredients (CFI) joined the Parker portfolio. The transaction was completed on August 25.

AOG, LLC d/b/a TruFood Manufacturing, a snack food contract manufacturer, backed by AUA Private Equity Partners, LLC, announced the acquisition of Simply Natural Foods, a leader in the better-for-you co-manufacturing segment.

Beverage USA Holdings Inc. announced the acquisition of the assets of Nerd Beverage Corporation, a mental acuity drink company designed to disrupt the industry as it enhances focus, concentration, memory and energy with powerful nootropics and performance-boosting nutrients.

The acquisition, led by Sonoma Brands managing director Kevin Murphy, follows Sonoma Brands’ acquisition of KRAVE from The Hershey Company in June 2020, thus joining two chef-crafted, premium jerky brands to create a powerhouse portfolio of brands within the meat snacking space. 

ABITEC Corporation, an ABF Ingredients company, announced that it has acquired Larodan AB, a manufacturer and international marketer of state of the art, high-purity research grade lipids. This strategic acquisition will expand ABITEC’s functional lipid product offerings and scientific capabilities to better serve the pharmaceutical, nutritional and industrial market sectors.
