Oregon Fruit Products LLC says new Fruit In Hand Velvet fruit purees help operators avoid labor costs, price swings, recipe inconsistencies and shrink associated with working with fresh fruit.
Oregon Fruit Products LLC, Salem, Ore., says its line of Fruit in Hand, all-natural craft pureés are ideal for restaurant and bar specialty beverages, parfaits, smoothies and desserts. “Fruit In Hand Velvet helps operators deliver popular menu items, such as strawberry lemonade, with ripe, vibrant fruit, regardless of the limited seasonality of fresh fruit,” says Jo Ellen Wayne, Oregon Fruit Products director of R&D. “It also helps operators avoid labor costs, price swings, recipe inconsistencies and shrink associated with working with fresh fruit.” Fruit In Hand Velvet is available in 10 flavors. An Original style, with eight flavors, features precise, small chunks of real fruit. The new Velvet style is blended to a smoother texture. Fruit In Hand Original flavors include: Strawberry, Marion Blackberry, Raspberry, Mango, Mixed Berry, Blueberry, Cherry and Peach. Velvet flavors include Marion Blackberry, Blueberry, Lime, Mixed Berry, Mango, Passion Fruit, Peach, Pear, Raspberry and Strawberry. The product line is available in frozen, one-liter bottles, sold in packs of six.
