California almonds add a variety of distinct textures to finished products

California almonds’ more than 15 different forms serve up endless possibilities for creative snack development. From whole or sliced, to almond butter and almond paste, there is an almond form for almost any application.

Depending on the form, California almonds also can add a variety of distinct textures to any finished product. Whole natural almonds give a definitive snap and crunch to a bar’s texture. Almond butter can be used as a clean label-friendly binder that brings a nutty creaminess to a softer bar product or filling. Roasted, diced almonds add a distinct crunch to bars, while sliced almonds can lend more of a chewy texture.

With so many options to choose from, manufacturers have ample opportunity to select the forms that will result in the best, desired texture for their finished product.
