Bell Flavors & Fragrances: New Flavor Creations

Bell uses FiE to showcase new flavors, botanical extracts for various applications

November 24, 2015

The global food and beverage industry trade fair, Food Ingredients Europe, will convene in early December in Paris. There, Bell Flavors & Fragrances will present its latest developments and trends for flavors and botanical extracts for the beverage, sweet, dairy and savory segments.

Visitors at Bell booth 6D19 also can find inspiration in a wide variety of successful flavor concepts for the EMEA region. Visitors also can meet with Bell’s top flavorists, marketing and sales experts to discuss new product developments.

Flavor Comfort Zone

As one of the leading manufacturers of flavors, compounds and extracts for the food and beverage industry, Bell constantly meets the challenges caused by the sensory characteristics of a product.

Through years of experience and intensive research, Bell has created a wide range of products to reflect the taste preferences of different consumer groups and regions. Whether aromatic herb and spice flavors, brown notes of caramel and chocolate, exotic fruit creations for confectionery and beverage products or extracts for a wide range of different applications – Bell´s flavor developments for the "Flavor Comfort Zone" provide various possibilities to round off or differentiate the final taste of a product.

Among others, Bell presents a wide variety of new product developments at FiE, such as herb and spice flavors for applications including sauces, cream cheese or dressings; or fruity flavor ideas for protein shakes and milkshakes.

Classic and exotic fruit flavors also are a main focus in the non-alcoholic beverage segment. But the taste experience in alcoholic beverages will not fall short of expectations, either – with interesting flavor concepts for creamy liqueurs and gin. With its broad product portfolio Bell provides successful taste solutions for every category, including a variety of botanical extracts.

Flavor Innovation Zone

In the food and beverage sector, it is particularly important to spot each year´s market and consumer trends, evaluate them with regard to future developments and create new ideas. Bell´s “Flavor Innovation Zone” includes innovative trend concepts and flavor creations for the ever-increasing demand of today’s consumers.

At the FiE, Bell pays special attention to the veggie-trend. Bell will showcase a wide range of new concepts and new suggestions for this rapidly growing market segment. Among other developments, Bell will showcase vegetarian and vegan flavors for meat substitutes or fruit gums and green beverage creations with herbal, fruit and spice flavors.

Other “Flavor Innovation Zone" concepts will include sweet creations for macaroons, chocolates with alcoholic fillings and innovative snack flavors for savory moments of indulgence. A further highlight presented by Bell Flavors & Fragrances is a lemon and cucumber soft drink created especially for the fair. Producers of alcoholic beverages also will be excited by new trends. Bell’s concept “Xtreme Shots” will demonstrate multi-sensory effects—such as hot versus cold, super sour or sweet and salty.

Bell Insights

Bell also will present its new marketing platform www.bell-insight.com, which launched in September 2015. It covers the latest innovations, product concepts and future-oriented product ideas to ensure the market success of tomorrow. The free marketing tool includes a wide database of ideas and concept approaches for flavors, fragrances, botanical extracts and ingredient specialties for the food and beverage industry.
