Lamb Weston Inc., Eagle, Idaho, introduced Mini Waffled Hash Browns, billed as a “mini mashup of magnificent proportions.” Officials say product developers created a “hash brown that eats like a waffle” for on-the-go snacking as well as all dayparts.

Lamb Weston notes that almost 40% of all hash brown servings ordered by consumers ages 55 and older.* Meanwhile, its mini waffle form appeals to younger guests.**

Breakfast prototypes, for example, could include “sunrise sliders,” a mini tower (alternating hash browns sausage) or a sunny side-up “loaded” version. Other applications could include “nacho’d” or a loaded carnitas version. Last but not least, the product simply stands as a snack with queso dip.

Mini Waffled Hash Browns are fully cooked and ship frozen. Unopened product may be refrigerated for up to 48 hours (under 40F). The can be cooked for easy prep in quick-cook, convection or conventional oven.
