Foran Spice Company, Oak Creek, Wis., used IFT to announce a name change to Asenzya Inc. Officials say the move strategically repositions the company to better meet the needs of its customers and communicate its many unique capabilities.
The family-owned company has had a long-standing presence in the Milwaukee area for more than 60 years. Asenzya’s capabilities extend beyond spices to include custom seasoning blends, flavor systems, finished product innovation and functional ingredient solutions.
The name change allows Asenzya to continue building its capabilities and expanding its efforts within food manufacturing. Recently, Asenzya has focused and invested in a world-class culinary, research and development and operations infrastructure. These improvements have included the hiring of a corporate chef who can apply culinary flavor trends to each customer’s business. Asenzya also employs a team of food scientists and technologists who can work with customers to bring their flavor inspirations to life.
“With our new name and identity, we are better positioned and defined within the marketplace, which will help communicate our expanded capabilities to our customers and prospects,” says Patty Goto, Asenzya president and CEO. “We will continue to sell spices but our central focus will be on translating our customers’ needs and visions into workable solutions, including optimized seasoning blends, functional ingredients and cutting-edge concepting for their products.”
