Supergut Expands Leadership

Gut health and GLP-1 nutrition company accelerates retail and online expansion and product development

By Prepared Foods Editorial Staff
Supergut GLP1 Booster package
March 6, 2025

Supergut, a gut health and GLP-1 nutrition brand, announced the closing of a significant minority growth investment. To support this next chapter, Tracey Warner Halama, former CEO of Vital Proteins and industry veteran, will join Supergut as CEO.

The funding round was led by Full Frame Growth Partners, an Austin-based growth equity firm that brings together a compelling mix of entrepreneurs, investors, and influencers who specialize in directly investing in and supporting high-potential consumer brands. Other participants in the investment include Supergut founding investor Dave Friedberg via The Production Board along with Cultivian Sandbox, Strand Equity, Access Capital, Alpha Edison, LivWell Ventures and Rocana Ventures. Full Frame Founder & Managing Partner Bader Alam will join the board of directors.

For this next phase of growth, Supergut will focus on product innovation, expanding into new retail placements, and hiring top-tier talent to build out their team. Marc Washington, Supergut’s founder, will assume the role of executive chairman to continue driving the brand’s strategic expansion and reinforce its foundation in science-based innovation. Seasoned CPG executive and Full Frame Growth Partners Tracey Warner Halama will serve as CEO and join the board. Warner Halama will bring her impressive background as former President and CEO of Vital Proteins—which she scaled from inception to full acquisition and integration into Nestlé Health Science.

Over the last year, Supergut achieved 172% growth while launching in retail and expanding to more than 5,000 brick-and-mortar stores—from Erewhon to top retailers, including Target, Sprouts, GNC, and Vitamin Shoppe. Supergut attributes its strong momentum to its GLP-1 booster product, an unflavored powder including 6g per serving of a patented prebiotic fiber blend that can be mixed with any food or beverage.

This product, along with the broader product line—including prebiotic bars and shakes—have garnered significant interest from both consumers and retailers alike. Supergut remains the only gut health nutrition brand whose products have been shown in a rigorous gold-standard, peer-reviewed and published clinical study to control cravings, support gut health, reduce blood sugar levels and sustain energy levels.
