• Cinnamon Sandwich Cookie with Vanilla Filling and Chocolatey Coating – Treat yourself to a chocolatey-coated, crispy cinnamon sandwich cookie. The chocolatey coating is a sensory delight with Cebes® 29-54 NH, a blend of palm kernel and palm oil. It is non-hydrogenated for a healthier option yet still maintains taste and texture in the coating. Good bloom resistance maintains appearance and quality of the coating. Thanks to fast crystallization and no requirement for tempering, production is streamlined, saving time and resources.
Under the chocolatey coating, a crisp cinnamon cookie delights with a snappy, light texture thanks to Cisao® 8312 palm oil. This multi-purpose votated shortening can be used in a variety of bakery applications, including cookies, cakes and pastries, providing a clean mouthfeel without residual oiliness or waxiness.
With its neutral taste, Cisao® 8312 is an excellent base for the addition of spices, extracts and flavors. The elastic texture provides good machinability, and it creams easily during mixing.
• Plant-Based Frozen Dessert – Who says plant-based can’t be indulgent? Beat the summer heat with a creamy, plant-based frozen dessert featuring a blend of coconut oil and shea olein from AAK. With less saturated fat (83%) than coconut oil (92%), AkoPlanet™ PBI 188-44 creates a consumer-pleasing, healthier plant-based dessert.
Compared to standard coconut oil, this unique blend creates smaller, more even particle distribution and more viscosity in the frozen dessert base, ultimately leading to increased creaminess, mouth coating and less perceived iciness in the final product.
