Prepared Foods showcases new prepared meat, poultry and seafood items for snacks as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner options.
SeaPak Shrimp & Seafood Company, St. Simons Island, Ga., introduced wild caught SeaPak Lobster & Shrimp Bites. Officials describe the new offering as a “perfectly balanced, lightly breaded combination pairs seafood’s hint of sweetness with a mixture of savory cheese and shallots for the ideal bite.”
“Lobster is one of the most popular shellfish items on U.S. restaurant menus,” said Kristen Beadon, SeaPak Shrimp & Seafood Co.’s director of marketing. “So we’re excited to be able to offer a quick and easy lobster option that can fit nicely into any budget or schedule.”
Available in 14oz packages, each serving of SeaPak Lobster & Shrimp Bites contains 10g of protein, the company says. Bites can be prepared in a conventional oven, a toaster oven or an air fryer.

K2 Ventures, Boston, is a March 2021 start-up that introduced Brave Good Kind all-natural Tender Chicken Bites as its first product.

The continued popularity of homemade breakfasts in 2021 isn’t likely to slow down. According to Mintel, 62% of consumers are making more breakfasts from scratch due to COVID and experts anticipate these new habits will stick. And a recent report from sales and marketing agency Acosta found that even after the Covid pandemic has passed, 47% of U.S consumers plan to eat breakfast out less often.
Considering these trends was Niman Ranch, Westminster, Colo., which expanded its breakfast sausage line with two new offerings. One is an Applewood Smoked Bacon Breakfast Sausage made with Niman Ranch’s artisanal uncured bacon. For those with more of a sweet tooth, Niman Ranch also rolled out Vermont Maple links, billed as “the perfect partner for any stack of pancakes.”

Land O’Frost, Inc., Munster, Ind., introduced a brand re-design and three new flavors for its Bistro Favorites deli meat brand.
Officials say the new design includes a uniquely crafted, hand-drawn Bistro Favorites logo to evoke a modern bistro; while life-like ingredient and sandwich imagery provide inspiration and a reminder of the brand’s unique, handcrafted offerings. Bistro Favorites also added three new small batch, artisan flavors to its line-up: Maple Bourbon Uncured Ham, Cajun Style Turkey Breast and Savory Herb Turkey.

Tyson Foods expanded its Aidells artisanal meats line with new Smoked Beef Sausage and Pork and Beef Meatballs.

Officials each contains a blend of wild skipjack tuna (the species of tuna with the lowest levels of mercury) and organic, non-GMO vegetables, pasta and legumes.
