National Restaurant Association highlights 28 products shaping foodservice trends

The National Restaurant Association has unveiled the 2026 Food and Beverage (FABI) Award recipients, highlighting 28 products gaining traction on foodservice menus, including 10 named as FABI Favorites.

The lineup reflects broader industry shifts, including the mainstreaming of global flavors, continued growth in dairy-free offerings and more functional organic formats for operators. Featured products range from horchata ice cream sandwiches and plum gochu syrup to Calabrian truffle crunch and beetroot habanero sauce.
The 10 FABI Favorites — recognized for their potential impact on restaurant menus — include items such as dairy-free single-serve cream cheese, egg white wraps, elote butter and halal beef kefta links. The products will be showcased at the 2026 National Restaurant Association Show, scheduled for May 16–19 in Chicago.
The FABI Awards provide a snapshot of emerging ingredient formats and flavor profiles gaining traction in foodservice, offering insight into concepts that may translate into retail product innovation.
