Prepared Foods counts down some of most innovative food and beverage products of 2015

As another year comes to a close, we, the editors of Prepared Foods, like to survey the new food and beverage product landscape to gain a sense of how many important product launches came into being.

Traditionally, the food and beverage industry generates something in the neighborhood of 20,000 new products annually. To be certain, we haven’t taken a hard look at every introduction. However, below is a sample of the range of innovative new food and beverage products that entered the marketplace in 2015.

Here, we focus on the MEAT, POULTRY & SEAFOOD category.

Sausages are fully-cooked and come in five varieties

8. Piller's New Protein Snack
Minis Sausage Snacks are now available on Canadian grocery shelves

7. Old Wisconsin Introduces Fast Fuel
Fast Fuel Sausage Snacks and Bites are hardwood-smoked for flavor

6. Primal Grass-Fed Beef & Turkey Jerky
New jerky snacks are certified gluten-free, and are sourced from grass-fed, grass-finished beef

5. Fork In The Road Foods Launches Gourmet Sausages

New product is made with chicken, water, a dash of raw sugar, sea salt and celery powder
